A little about me.
I was born, raised and educated in the UK, graduating at Manchester Metropolitan University with a BA Hons in Film and Media studies.
I’ve always been passionate about creating ‘things’ — whether it be art, theatre, photography or filmmaking — and that passion has driven me to do what it is that I do: I write, produce and present, for others’ and for my own media channels.
I have been actively producing digital media content since 2006, helping to start and grow channels for brands such as DigitalRev TV and South China Morning Post.

Hong Kong was always meant to be a stop-gap, a one-year break. ultimately, it was the place where I found what I wanted to do.
The Guardian - 2013
A little clipping taken from The Guardian that I’m, partially out of hubris, but mostly to put a timestamp on the growth that DigitalRev TV’s channel was going through at that time. Within a year from the date this article was published, we surpassed 1-million subscribers.
SCMP - 2013
The South China Morning Post wanted to create a new tech section TechSmack for website and wanted me to their Editor. No violence was inflicted on any technology.
Nat Geo Wild x Kai W - 2017
Coming quite fresh from starting up on my own, National Geographic came calling — or rather dropped me an email (but that sounds less cool) — to invite me to collaborate with them for an episode of Untamed with Filipe DeAndrede.
I spent some time in beautiful Bosque del Apache, New Mexico with the crew from Nat Geo Wild, photographing wildlife and creating content.

Maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
